The Jabberwock Cocktail Project

During American Prohibition the bartender Harry Craddock, an Englishman who had become an American citizen, sailed back to London and set up shop in the American Bar at the Savoy Hotel. It was 1920, and Craddock would go on to become one of the most famous bartenders in history. His stylish compendium of drinks, “The Savoy Cocktail Book” published in 1930, remains in print today as an invaluable source of the classics. One cocktail in particular from the book is the inspiration for all of the drinks found in the following pages, which take further inspiration from the Lewis Carroll Puzzle Project.
