Tamas Vanyo
Hungarian software engineer Tamas Vanyo explores the fascinating world of interlocking mechanical puzzles in his spare time, crafting incredible objects in his workshop. He uses generative Ai to create fantasy images that he somehow manages to bring to life, making some of the most eye catching puzzle boxes in the world.
Our man in Hungary, Tamas Vanyo, has of late been dabbling in both puzzle boxes (a relatively new area of exploration for him) and AI (something he has been fascinated with for a long time).
Artificial Intelligence can be harnessed to create incredibly fantastical images that look eye catching but also look unreal, or at least, unrealistic. Then again, sometimes it falls to the individual to decide what is out of reach, and what can actually be realized.
Artificial Intelligence is all around us. Like it or not, AI is going to expand rapidly and exponentially based on how quickly technology in general advances in the current era. We might as well embrace it, like many artists are currently doing.
Fans of Tolkien’s (and Jackson’s) Lord of the Rings saga will be well familiar with the many regal palaces encountered within Middle Earth, from the ethereal vistas of the elven kingdoms to the depths of the dwarven mines.

Happy Tolkien Reading Day! The Tolkien Society, “an educational charity, literary society, and international fan club, devoted to promoting the life and works of J.R.R. Tolkien”, was founded in 1969 with J..R.R. Tolkien himself serving as its president.
